Johnny Manziel has been in the news recently, and
that’s probably the understatement of the year. Johnny Football’s “Summer of
Fun” has been never ending. He ‘attended’ class online for the spring semester
at Texas A&M, sat front row at Dallas Mavs’ games, went to Cabo for spring
break, and went to the Manning Passing Camp as a counselor where he was allegedly
kicked out for partying on Bourbon Street.
His latest high jinks included attending a University of
Texas fraternity party donning a Tim Tebow jersey, getting booted out of that,
but showing up at another frat social the same night. All in a nights work for
“The Most Interesting Man in the World.” Sorry Dos Equis guy.
However, the Heisman Trophy winner is reportedly into things
far worse than these college level activities. By now, everyone is aware that
Johnny comes from a very affluent family. That’s not the issue here. According
to reports, Johnny’s swanky off-campus house is now home to hardcore drug
scene.
Reminiscent of Jesse Pinkman’s house in the fourth season of
“Breaking Bad,” cocaine, amphetamine, and prescription pain medication has
reportedly been used in massive quantities at the College Station house.
Whether or not Manziel has been abusing these drugs is still in question, but
if he’s living there, the question is valid.
As one frat boy witnessed, "The place is just out-of-bounds, even for someone like me," said the Texas senior who was wearing an O.J. Simpson jersey and was flanked by brothers who were donning Aaron Hernandez and Rae Carruth jerseys. "There's the usual sex and drugs going on, but Johnny's taken it to a whole new level." When pressed further, the anonymous bro started weeping and shaking his head.

As head coach Kevin Sumlin gets his Aggie team ready for the 2013
season, this is probably the last thing he wants to hear. It gets worse,
though. Manziel has also allegedly shown up to his summer practices, in the
words of one assistant, “drunk as a skunk.” Sumlin is a hot name in coaching
circles that could be on his way to an NFL team next season. Yet, he appeared
happy to deal with questions from the ravenous hoards of reporters.
“Johnny has done everything we’ve asked of him at practices
so far,” Sumlin said. “Although we are not happy he is showing up to practices
inebriated, he has looked even better than last year,” Sumlin added, shocking
the crowd of reporters that had assembled to hear his impromptu remarks. When asked if the school had any role in Manziel's boozy adventures, Sumlin only made one statement. "I'm pretty sure the last 10 years have showed us that universities can do whatever they want to make money, without being questioned by anyone, so I'll just leave it at that."
Has Johnny Football been partying so much that doing
everyday activities, which for him, means throwing a football has become second
nature? Like many other 20-year-olds, he may function better when he is drunk.
While it is worrisome for his overall health, older folks can remember Joe
Namath hitting the bars the night before the game. So, how is this really that different?
As if his legend couldn’t grow any bigger, Manziel could
take it to another level if he’s legitimately hammered during every Texas
A&M game. While it remains to be seen what the media backlash is to this
latest Johnny Football story, it doesn’t matter. He is already an idol to every
college student in America, so when he takes the field on August 31 against
Rice, don’t be surprised if he’s had a few cocktails.
